December is probably the month with the most fruit on the Brazilian lunch and dinner table. At the end of the day, while in the northern hemisphere of the planet people spend their time with snow and warm dishes, here we enjoy the tropical climate of the southern hemisphere with refreshing and light options.
That’s because, deep down, we want to gorge ourselves on snacks at the end of the year, but without the need for heartburn medication. We just want the fruits, honestly… haha!
And there’s no secret: one of the best seasonal match-ups is fruit and cheese.
So, it’s just a matter of choosing the cheeses and putting together a light, healthy, nutritious and yummy table. Did you think it was impossible to have it all in one plate? Then you can call this wonderful combination a Christmas miracle!
And one of the best fruits to go with cheese is grapes! It’s a refreshing fruit with an amazing taste.
This cheese has a light flavour, so it is an easy way to boost the flavours.
The sweetness and juiciness of the grapes are a good match for the brie’s creamy texture, making it an easy and indulgent pleasure. It is not surprising that grapes match almost any cheese.
So, have you ever thought about grapes and cheese? If you haven’t done it before…you don’t know what you’re missing! Take note of this recipe!
